    Finished the big rounds up.
It's as fast as the dual splitter productivity wise or pretty close and I don't have to roll those monsters up the ramp anymore.

Only negatives so far is the lack table(yet) they do already have nuts welded to the beam for one. Second the end of the foot jams up with splitter trash. Didn't notice it until trying split a shorter round and it bogged down. Had to pry it out with the wonder bar and hammer and chisel the rest through the holes.

    $50!!!
The engine is brand new $100, you couldn't buy a cylinder, pump, coupling, valve hoses and fittings for $4-500.
Somebody will bite on it with full disclosure of cracked welds.

$50 may have been an exaggeration, but you know what I mean if you have sold stuff on CL...if it isn't perfect, many times all you get is lowballers

My Champion is made just like that. Has (2) 1" holes for stuff to fall through...but those plug up pretty quick...I got used to just giving that area a quick swipe with a gloved hand every once in a while to keep it clear. If you set up so that the other end of the splitter is up a bit higher, then the fines will vibrate down through the holes if you keep the big stuff clear. If you let it build up like that, and then have to run the ram full stroke...yeah, sometimes stuff is jammed in there so tight you think the only way it will come back out is to let it rot or burn it out!

IMG_0770.PNG Is it worth the question of the OEM for replacement parts?

For those that didn’t see it in the other thread, I settled on a Yardmax YU2866 28 ton full beam splitter from Home Depot @ $999. It conveniently matches my Kubota, but it will be moved around by the JD X530. I hope they get along ok lol. I like the U beam and the included dual tables. The swivel on the foot is to prevent beam twist and I assume it’ll help in that regard, but it rattles quite a bit too. 4 way wedge came with it also.
These seem to be pretty popular. I’ve been trying to order one since February and asked for an email when they were back in stock. I never got an email, but I started checking their website in early April. When they showed up I ordered one and they were out again the next day.

I know what your saying .
    Extreme low ballers!
I've sold very little on CL but have bought a ton ! Seems no one can judge fair value when buying around here. It's always a penny on the dollar offer ,,take it or leave it. The FB sale sites are even worse in an opposite way . Everyone wants more than new price take it or leave it.

Both the splitters I have suffer from this. I just have to remind myself to pull some crap out of there occasionally before it gets bound solid needing chiseling. I have thought about opening the hole size a bit.

I am unable to work comfortably from a milk crate/log seat also. I have used the vertical as you did, to quarter big rounds into man sized pieces, then finish off horizontally.

They discontinued this model several years ago.
The parts breakdown online has multiple revisions with two different parts for the beam wedge assembly one is discontinued the other Newr rev is in stock $203.80 plus who knows shipping. I'd straighten and weld it myself.

Then several hours of labor and cuss words later it might fetch $5-600

I just got one of these, $829 on fleabay, free shipping.
I had one of those dual split types from Harbor freight, I paid $600 for it three years ago with a coupon, split almost 30 cords with it, then listed it on Craigslist for $700. First guy to look at it couldn't hand me the money fast enough, didn't even try to negotiate.
I use a Hookaroon to move stuff around for vertical splitting.
With my old splitter I used a ramp, like my avatar shows

I'm thinking about making my own with an old snow blower. Unless you have really steep land, the treads are overkill
