I can assure you, there is only one chili recipe for all occasions. (Right, walt?)

Although the batch I just made today for the GTG is a little bit hotter than usual. :dex:
Mrs TD is in trouble tonight! :D

I recall a story about a young kid with a van that filled the van with recyclables and attempted to turn them in to a Michigan recycling station for cash. They didn't allow it because they said most of the cans/ bottles were from out of state..

My dad once got a ticket because Mom forgot to hang the handicap parking tag from the mirror as she was told to. The cop was issuing the ticket as they got back to the car. Dad had either arm canes, or a walker. Mom showed the cop The parking tag and said she forgot to put out on the mirror even though Dad told her to put the tag up. The cop wouldn't tear up the ticket. Apparently he was a jerk to my Dad.

Well, my parents went to the PD, and the Police Chief ripped up the ticket, and apologized to my parents.

Sorry that happened. That’s certainly not the intent of the ticket for parking in the designated handicapped parking space. Hence, my waiting on the driver to come out before issuing the citation. I’d never want to inconvenience someone with a medical need with having to go to traffic court because they forgot to hang their placard in the window.
That being said, there have been few things that gave me as much pleasure as handing over a hefty handicapped space violation to someone who was just too important or “in a hurry,” to park in a regular space.

I think the chief taught that officer a lesson that day. I'm sure once my parents left the station, there were even more lessons.

Yes, there are still some good guys out there; none should be pricks like that other one.

Like the time I parked in handicapped at an airport. Sign said 10 minute parking. I left the car for 5 minutes and when I returned there was a ticket. I found the cop who then told me they had just issued a bulletin that stated no car was to be left. But it did not say so on the sign. Tough chit is what he told me. I had to go to court but it took only about 2 minutes before the ticket was torn up and I was apologized to. I guess they did report on tv about closing the spots like that but not being a tv watcher, how was I to know. Inconvenient but it was sort of worth it just to see the look on that officer's face. I so wanted to give him more than a finger, but smiling at him was sweet.

Yes, one of those comedians was funny, the other not at all.

I don't think that ventriloquist Terry Sater ( I think?) is funny either. Larry the Cable Guy had a few moments. I'm more of a Jim Gaffigan/ Gabriel Iglesias/ Nick swardson/ Dave Chappelle guy.
