My son and i just brought them out to their new home. I put their original brooder box in there for now since they are used to it and will remove it in a few days. There is also a heat lamp secured to the ceiling well for any really cold temps we will likely still see. Then it will get removed for good. Heat lamps & coops don't mix.

    They love it!

Why does a chicken coup only have 2 doors?

Because if it had 4 doors it would be a sedan.

We've had a bear visit twice. Last Sunday Dawn was making fresh bacon, i took the dogs out, 15 feet away it took off. Again early this morning around 4:30...... funny, now the chicks are out there. Tonight i setup a motion detector on the coop. Any unwanted guests will get a warning shot.

Ugh. I hope he doesn't make your coop a convertible.

Its built well..... but a swipe to the latch could pose a problem. Will be standing guard tonight. :)

I had a bear break down an aluminum 6' fence to get to a bird feeder. This was a well made, strong fence used to keep our 90 lb dogs contained. Hopefully your bear decides that the chickens aren't worth the trouble!

The chicks are doing well in their coop. We've had some upper teens at first, but the temps are rising.

This video is when they were 2 weeks old.

    This video i took today.......

    And some pics from today......

They are. I am concerned however with the largest one, with the full on waddles & combs. He/she grew fast, has a little trouble walking and sits around alot. The legs are a good size, and luckily haven't split. We're hoping he/ she pulls through with time.
