Pathetic excuse for a winter here. 2.5 cords.

More winter in April than all winter.

Don't know exactly where I'm at useage wise. Definetly off from prior years. I like to have 10-12 cords in the shed and right outside in case we get one of those 300"+ snow belt winters. I never fully replenished my supply last summer due to potentially moving this year .
I don't think I used half of what was left. Maybe 3 cord and a ton of coal. I used shoulder wood up till IIRC Jan 1. Longest fall run ever on the shoulder stove. Maybe 1.5 cord

First year burning. We installed our insert on 11/10/2017 and have pretty much run it 24/7 since then. I'm at the tail end of 3 cords of mixed wood right now. I figure I've got enough remaining to burn for probably 3-4 more days. With highs in the 70's today and the 80's tomorrow and Saturday the stove is shutting down. But we are back to lows in the 40's next week. I've got a line on another 1/3 cord of seasoned (<15%) mixed wood that I plan on picking up this weekend. That'll get me through whatever April in VA has to offer.

For next year I've c/s/s 3 cords of pine, and I'll be looking to add another cord. In addition to that I've been working toward my three year plan and I've got 1 cord of oak c/s/s, 1/2 cord of holly c/s/s, and 2/3 cord of ash. It's a small city lot (1/8 acre) and I'm pretty maxed on what I can store while still gardening and giving my mastiff a place to make her mess. My 3 year plan will allow me to store 6 cords (3 pine/3 hardwood), and burn 4 cords a year, 3 of pine and 1 of hardwood. I'll then replenish the 3 cords of pine and 1 cord of oak/ash/etc. each year.

Been feeding my Hardy H4 OWB since December. Have to be around 9 to 10 cords. Lots of junk wood, wet wood and green wood from various tree jobs along the way. I'll get ahead once I stop burning and I'll be in good shape for years to come.

About 2 3/4 cord..........................I travel to FL about every 4 weeks...................and it sure seemed like I was in FL when the major cold snaps happened here in "The Peoples Repubik of Illinoiz". Otherwise I would've burned more for sure. I have my thermostat set at 58*F when I'm gone.

I started burning before Halloween and still burning. My 4th season in this house. I'm up a cord from the last 3 years. Not much snow this winter, but it was colder down here than the 3 years. 3 cords so far and burning right now. Seems I will be tomorrow as well.

Made it 48 hours between loads...but the warm weather is past now, loaded up some pretty junk Poplar and Pine (with 1 chunk of Oak for coals) this AM...really wanted to clean that pile of junk up anyways...probably another 1/3 cord if I use it all

Sounds like a pretty good plan to me.

We keep putting a pretty good dent into what was supposed to be next year's wood, which is OK because we were three years ahead, but wow, not three years ahead based on what we've used this year.

Been a weird burning season here. I can no longer remember how much I put up in the shed, so it's now difficult to know how much I've burned.
I hate when that happens. I'm gonna take a swag (no offense swags Sean) and say we've burned about 2 & 2/3 cord.
The last couple days have seen quite a "snow event" that isn't done yet either.

I burnt way to much! so far about 9 cord still burning will probably go thru 10 cord this year. I thought with the extra insulation in the attic I would burn less it certainly started out that way now winter just won't quit.
