Keep posting what you find and the prices. MasterMech is a "Master" in this area.

I had an old Craftsman that did me well for years. The parts can be expensive, but are readily available. I liked that old Craftsman, But have since upgraded.

I think we are going to go with the White. My Husband talked the guy down to 325 as long as it runs good when we go look at it. We probably won't go until it warms up a little since it is in Stevens Point, about 2 hours from us, we want to be able to run it when we go look at it and maybe in a couple weeks there will be a little less snow.

You must really live in a small area to drive 2 hours one way to buy a used mower!!!

Not that small, I am cheap though, I do not like to spend money and if I find a good deal I will gladly drive a couple hours to get it.

It works out good too because my Husband has family near there and we can visit them on the way.

I'm cheap too but my time and gas money are worth something. But if you visit family its not a lost trip.

A 2 hr drive isn't much at all.

I drive an hour (57 miles one way) to work every day. My drive home when it snows can be 2-3 hrs long. But it's still worth it.

I use to drive 54 miles one way. I missed it for years after I gave it up. I dont anymore. Was just too much time in the truck a week and a huge expense in fuel.

Now a days the fuel expense is the real killer. Id do it if needs be but am glad I am only 35 mins and 26 miles away!8

I didn't realize Ward was a female. Thanks for the clue in! So many avatars are reflections of what is important or of interest to us. I thought it was a wife or daughter's photo. Then again I don't judge posts on gender so other than not trying to offend another, it doesn't matter. I enjoy hearing other's thoughts/perspectives on topics of interest.

Picked it up on Thursday. Talked the guy down to 250 since it had a flat tire and dead battery. Turned out to be a good deal for us. We put a new battery in our old one last year so we swapped it out. Dylan approved it :)

Good for you. Keep the air filter clean, the oil changed and feed it good clean fuel and it should last and last...
