Cool Craftsman 2.3 !!

Got this from a fellow member a while back . Did a fuel system cleanup....and its back up and running !! Fuel cap leaks...but I have another one on the way as we speak..and will be installed at no additional cost Has a good 18 inch bar and chain . Runs and cuts really good . Never checked comp.....but feels good while tuggin on the rope !! Losing money on this one....but have other things to save for . That is hands down the best deal on here! You cant beat that price point, I cant believe your only asking 40 bucks for it. No way this saw will be on here long!

 

Your saw is the Sears version of the Poulan 2400, which later morphed to the Poulan Pro 236. If it was green I would grab it to round out my collection.

 

did craftsman make their own saws?

 

No. Im not sure they made much of anything. They had manufacturers brand it in their colors and name and marketed goods.

 

Not that I ever remember. Reed-Prentice made their first(s) IIRC... pretty cool lookers.

 

Sears has never been a manufacturer, they are merely a retailer who brands products with their name. In their past they have sold everything from houses to cars.

This is a really nice saw guys. I wouldn't be surprised if it had less than a few hours on it. Fuzz is a good guy to deal with too.

 

Yea that looks like a real low hour saw.

I'm eat up in 35-45cc saws now and dont need another so I am just passing through.

Also I picked up the poulan 2175 wild thing /50 th anniversary saw for $20. I need to clean it up and test cut with it after I tune the carb.
