Before I put a couple hours work in. After a hours work and confirming there is beet juice AKA Rim Guard in the tires. Need wider mud guards now. Not much tire under the fenders. I did a search and I have not found where any one makes any. Some conveyer belting will work. Al
Weight down low and wide sure is nice - Now add some ice pick chains and you’ll be unstoppable! I often throw an implement on the rear when doing heavy loader work, but refuse to buy a box of rocks to make up for these modern lightweight tractors. Looks like you’ll just need to stay on the snow or keep it under 2mph to keep from throwing mud! (I’m in mud now, and it squirts and splashes all over)
I have 6 suit case weights I hang on the back blade if doing some heavy lifting with the loader. They weigh 65 pounds each, about 390 pounds plus the back blade. Al
We have been in mud way to long about 2 months. About the time it is starting to dry we get more snow like this morning after last nights rain. so we can count on more days in the mud. Al
I would not like the toolbox location, especially being plastic where being backed into something it might break, but I noticed a lack of spots. Mine is on the right rear fender, but I see a cup holder is on there now, so there is no where else to put it. Myself, digging gravel in my pit requires the most counterweight, so I put on my land plow, then set a 55 gallon drum on top of that filled with rocks. That gives me a lot of weight, but also allows me to bust up my gravel that I am digging...a two-fer if you will.
If you back up and hit some thing to break the tool box your going to be breaking and bendind more than that cheap old tool box. The quick hitch protects it too. Al
I’m pretty careful, but I’ve broken those silly exposed fender-mounted flashers twice now. On the M series you have to unbolt the fender to get in underneath to get at the light bracket. I’m hoping I have learned my lesson this second time.
Yeah me too. Most of the time it is the chains hooking into a stick and bringing it up and around and smashing them, so it is hard to guard against that.
