We're having some lovely sleet and rain. Nice and raw out there.

Pressed the stove back into service

Started to snow this morning and it has kept up all day and is still coming down somewhat hard. Should end up with 6+ inches by morning.

We got that here now. I was able to get home before the roads got too nasty. The roads were just starting to get sort of slick as I got to my last mile of my 32 mile journey.

I did put some gas in the snowblower, but I don't think I'll need to snow blow the driveway. I hope not at least.

First day back to work after the weekend was great. No students, no teachers. A chance to work on a specialty project. It was great.

Looks like no rain for our walk this morning.

Caffeine in. I guess I’m going to have to do some work in the barn today. Raining out and looks like most of the day will continue like that. You folks be safe and warmed by firewood.

    A white landscape again...

Dealer called yesterday and tractor is ready to pick up. Will wait until tomorrow and hopefully the roads will be clear and dry.

:picard:That would drive me :loco:  right now. They are saying we may get 1-3” of the white stuff on Friday. I hope they are wrong. And I hope we don’t lose power today. Wind is getting worse as the day goes by.

High winds! Bummer! I have listened to trees snapping and falling to the ground. Some blowing right over without snapping and tearing the root ball right up. Had to run out and let the horses through the gate and into the high pasture where they have a big opening. Fed them some hay up there and got back to house. They are happier up there in the open. While checking on my chimney I heard a big snap and looked to the Northwest of barn and watched a nice Pine come crashing down. They are more likely to blow over now that I’ve thinned them out.:( Hope we don’t lose power here. PIA

On a good note, chimney fix I did a while back is holding up well through these winds.

I was hanging some birthday signs in the wind on Monday. I ended up using framing nails and bending them over to hold the card board. It was blowing so hard I had to hang on to a fence post a couple times and could barely get the blaze door open:eek:. Came back and checked my weather station. 56mph, felt faster.

    Yes, WOF.
