A retired guy I used to work with called a few weeks ago and said he had some wood to get rid of. First load I cut and loaded by hand. Second load we used the tractor to load logs onto my dump truck. About 3 hours total and a little shy of 4 cords, all oak. IMG_1651.JPG IMG_1653.JPG

Looks like a little more than a gathering to me. Wow that is a nice load of wood.

Yeah, that's not "some" wood, that's about a year's worth for most folks.

    Nice score!

I'm waiting on my tree service guys to drop a couple cords of myself.

Yep that is correct. I only use about 3 cord a year myself.

Thanks guys. I sell wood so that really is just a drop in the bucket for me but I know everyone in here loves a good wood scrounge with pictures.

Wait! In your area you should burn more than that! Are the winds warm there?

The wind is very cold here and it blows all the time. I am just lucky and live a well insulated air tight house. But 3 cord is about all I burn every year.
