St Croix Hastings iron fire door magnet latch failure?

Hello
The small round magnet in the stove just stopped holding the door closed and it would swing back open!

Anyone Else have this issue?
What did you do?

So these magnets from Home Depot work.
MASTER MAGNETICS 3/8 in. x 1-7/8 in. Heavy-Duty Block Magnet (2 per Pack)-96294 - The Home Depot

 

I have the same stove and sometimes the magnet comes out of the hole it is in, but still holds the gate in front of the window shut. I sometimes open up the gate a little because at hi temps it randomly rattles.

 

Hu, I had a Hastings and it never had a magnet - must be a newer version for you guys (mine was 2008 I believe but maybe it was 2006)

 

My old Hastings did not have a magnet, either.
