    Yeah I wouldn't choose to burn cottonwood over other woods we have available, but I had already been paid to do the job and they dont care whether I leave it or take it. So I plan to just take my pickings at the straightest grain rounds I can find and leave the others. I'll definitely have firewood for a few seasons to come, along with a back and shoulder ache.

    That mill set up is amazing! I wish I had access to something like that, i would definitely try to make some cool furniture. There is a local mill but I haven't reached out to them. I don't think they are capable of a tree this magnitude, as they are a small family owned business. That wood looks beautiful tho and I'm sure will make a great piece. I've been looking into Alaskan mills but just don't have the saw power or bar length to mill this thing.

    That's a sweet mill. I came close to buying one of those a few years ago.
