Hey gang, I got a score this weekend that promised some Cherry:drool: well, got more than I bargained for, some folks clearing out for a horse pasture and it was "LOADED" with all varietys of goodies. I was first on scene and I had to share with some of the other local "VOLTURES":zip:… But it worked out and there is plenty:).

Got some Cherry, Ash, Red oak, Sasafrass, Hackberry, Sweet gum, something I haven't identified yet and…….. Mulberry:D
Oh, I used my new 170, only for the small stuff, what a sweetie! Should have bought one awhile back.
Got about 1-1/2 cord for the day.

Wow, Dave! Talk about a nice mix of wood! Kinda like one of those assorted boxes of salt water taffy down on the boardwalk!

    Going to get any more?

Yup, there is about 4 out of 10 acres that need to be cleared. It's all over growth, it was a dairy farm in the 40's and 50's and was just let go. There is about 4 others cutting and we sort of made a gentlemans agreement of our hoard and who gets what:whistle:… We'll see how that goes;)

Yes, I love that little 170:D… I can't believe the power it has for a little squirt:saw::cool:… The owners only let 4 of us on the land to cut, and I know two of them. Their good guy's but we didn't know the other 2, they were friends of the owners. Should work out Ok, I don't look a gift horse in the mouth:whistle:…. I'm happy to get what I can:)

Sounds like a sweet set-up !! Hope it keeps working out :)
P.S. I am a huge fan of the 170 and 180 . My 180 is so handy..that it comes along more times than not now !! Mine has a 14 inch bar...but would handle the 16 inch just fine :)
