BTW.. Before anyone get's the wrong impression that I am some extremely virtuous person, I must be totally and completely honest. 1. The only reason I was able to help my neighbor was because I called off work today as I was NOT about to deal with the driveway at 6:45 AM. 2. I have another neighbor that could have used my help, and yet I did not. Reason being.. her husband is a complete azz. I just thought of this fact when out for a cigarette and he's still plowing and shoveling. She actually called a tow company to try and get her car out of the driveway, I'm not sure how it worked out as I was done with my "chores" at that point and was ready to relax a bit. Now, I will say that I like her, she's always been neighborly, and had she asked I'd have let her use my car for whatever errands she needed to run. BUT.. there was NO WAY I was going to plow out his driveway for him. Just want to make sure the record is correct. Chaz
here we go again??60-70 miles away where we have family, National Weather Service> then ten miles from the coast?? National Weather Service . hope it holds true. sure don't want 2" in my driveway, have a day
I plow a few of my neighbors driveways. One is my next door neighbor who we are friendly with. Another is his friend who lives down the street. I was hoping his friend would ask if I wanted anything so I can tell him I like bourbon. He gave us a $100 gift card today so I will have to go out to dinner with my wife instead of bourbon. I have a few other neighbors like your where I am almost tempted to push more snow in their driveways.
here we go again??? from Dr Maue off twitter. "A bit of a mind-bender but looking at consecutive 24-hr MSLP pressure change off East Coast from 00z and 12z EPS. Boils down to less spread and a more intense storm. (bomb?)"
Hey Dennis, that lion keeps roaring, "Nor Easter" we are getting them one after another. Coastal damage is huge.
Right on Larry. Let us hope the whole second half of March turns out like a lamb. We have been blessed here. Cold and some snow but nothing to write home to mother about.
hang on, damm it, hang on!!!! except for Jan storm, had all rain pretty much locally. this tihs has to stop, NOW!
Isn't this the storm that models had not amounting to much just a few days ago ? Now the forecast for here is guessing on 5-8 inches.
First a near miss, now a hit, and the hit just keeps growing and growing. Only good thing is last Thursday, during that nor'easter, the ice dam in the river broke up and went out to sea. The coast guard was able to make it up within a quarter of a mile of the ice dam, but couldn't get to it because the bridge we have now doesn't open up to allow vessels with any amount of mast to get past the bridge. The new bridge further downstream is build with a huge hump in the middle like a camel. You can't see the other end when you enter the bridge due to the height of the hump you have to drive up and down.
that is being confused with the tax map? you get less cause your tax is lower. no blizzard unless you pay for it???
