It just turned 50 deg here, light breeze and no rain as of yet ( fingers crossed ) Good day at pile. As if now what's left in these shots are 2018 and beyonds wood supply, and maybe even better if the IS treats me well this upcoming fall. My best hoarding winter by far, an estimated 8 cords.

Yup, I caved in and I'm happy I did. The Oslo ran into too many problems the past 2 years and it was time. Although before I unload the Oslo I do want to see what the exact problem is, not fair to give it to someone else with a small soon to be, solveable issue.

I was off to a good start, moved 2 of the 4. Rain came in and shut me down. BTW, I split at the pile, load the pickup and drop at my stacks. Not as bad as it sounds. The pickup is a 1/2 ton shortbed, loaded tight it will hold a half rack which is a little under a 1/2 cord. The rack holds 7/10 of a cord.

Yes Gark...some others have caught the soon to be name change too. When I have it my possession I'll beg to the administrators for the name change.
As I got closer to the middle of the pile yesterday, more and more of the bottom logs were frozen to the ground and other logs. Amazing how well the center has insulated itself.

I had an awesome system. The pile in the pictures is in my neihgbors yard across the street. I back the pickup to the splitter and process the rounds and toss them into the truck. After the truck is full I drive it to my place 180' away and drop the load near my stacks, then I go back and repeat. It works pretty well.
