Here are a few pictures of the fun we had today. It was a bit cold, but it was still nice to get out and cut some wood.
I got a cutting permit for a local place. Lots of nice dead standing oak and other trees. I have tomorrow and next weekend still left on the permit, so we will see how much work I can get done.
Also, a pic of my new hard hat. If anyone has any wood cutting related stickers that they want to send me to decorate my new hat, I'd be glad to put them on and maybe they will be featured in an upcoming video.
I would have pictures of the hat in action, but the camera batteries died before my wife could get any.

I gave her heck about it, but she wanted to do video and the batteries quit. So, it wasn't a lack of wanting too.
I give her a pass since she puts up with me.

Never was allowed to put stickers on a safety hat, I think because it can't be properly inspected?

Working heavy commercial construction in Carpenters then Laborers Union for past 25 years I was always told that 'stickers are a no no blah blah..." I've never seen OSHA or anyone else give any lectures or warnings about them.Only if you do something ignorant like drill a few 1/8" holes in the top to let air in on a humid summer afternoon...(seen that once, years ago,Superintendent told the guy to toss the hat,get a new one from the trailer or go home for the day.)

But if that's the case why is everyone's hard hat covered with them within a year or so of getting a new one from most employers? Not only that, they always have stickers to hand out at the union halls + any employer's office. Its all about the advertising dontcha know...

My forestry helmet..... (Hard hat for work is covered about the same....)

Wish I could have been there, work today sucked and on top of that I am starting to get sick. Chainsaw fumes would have done me good. On the plus side, I am rushing home to see if the wood fairy visited.

I would take you up on the offer, but I don’t want to misrepresent myself. I do my own electrical, but I’m no electrician.
I suppose stickers could be used to mask something if it were an employee/employer thing, but I would have an awful time trying to hide something from myself. Otherwise I don’t see how a sticker can make a widow maker any worse.
I did think about putting small tree stickers on there for every tree I take down, but that could get messy.

The old lady brought this bug home and it started moving into my lungs yesterday morn. Family history of copd and anytime something settles in my lungs I get it bad. Started taking hits of my QVar which should hopefully keep it from getting worse. Planning to work on truck and do some scavenging on Monday so I need to get better right meow!

There's some Mulberry still at the dump near me. You might have to dig a bit to get to it (I took the easy stuff), but if your willing, it would be worth it. Desperation is a stinky cologne.

I'd guess its an ANSI or OSHA rule, I'm not sure. I know everywhere I worked nothing was allowed on hardhats. I never dug into the reg.

Still working on it. :saw:

He was telling me that he didn’t need all of the wedges and axe that I had because he just uses his chainsaw and the tree comes down by itself.

I would think that your first post was right. It makes the most sense.

Yes sir it is! First thing I am going to do is remove the broken down running boards so I can get under it with ease and then it's game on!

Im not sure about OSHA/ANSI rules for stickers Ive been told that safety stickers are ok such as certifications and job site safety classes. I work in substations and were not allowed to have any metallic stickers but as long as they arent over the top, vulger or profane its all good.
