No power yet at my place, but that frees up time to scrounge. Big'ol Ash log and rounds. The log is shown in the background of the well lit pic as it was standing off the root ball. Backed up the trailer to the root ball and cut'r down. Almost rolled the trailer when the logged rolled down hill to the rails. Only part I did not see coming. Log has to be 1500lbs easy. Trailer is 4x8 for reference. Log is 32 at wide end.

Looks like it almost has tears in it's eyes. But, use what you have, right? Nice load.

Glad you didn't load your trailer this way!

I don't cringe for the stupid person, I cringe for the good old truck that got ruined. Yeah, the end is true karma.

No idea what the rating is on the trailer. It came with a lawn mower I bought 20 years ago. I replaced the plywood floor with aluminum treading material and added heavy weight tires a couple years back. It has carried some heavy loads of field stone in its' life. One that blew both (old) tires within the first 5 feet of towing it from the loading site.

I had a blow out on my trailer once, on the highway @about 60mph. Felt a little back and forth movement, looked in the mirror to see rubber shrapnel flying about. Got it off the road right away but still toasted the wheel. Glad I had a spare and no one suffered any damages.

My sister once dated a guy that said he was getting upset driving down the interstate because a helicopter was following him. A long story short; he had a flat tire and just thought the whomp, whomp, whomp was a helicopter.

I told my sister (who is a Doctor) that she might be better suited to date someone with a slightly more intelligence. She took my advice...

This trailer was involved in a runaway scenario 2 years ago. Not at my hands, but a relatives. He borrowed it for a hunt and loaded a quad onto it. Don't know the cause, but at highway speed it divorced from the truck after bouncing over a bridge constriuction area. Passed the truck momentarily and was stopped just short of a guardrail by digging into the grass with the tongue. They were using a two sided hitch and the lower ball lost 40% of its' mass to sparks. Trailer was and is fine.

Somewhere I read there is a so called "Law of Tires". Basically there is this premise that for x amount of tires a person has, there will be x amount of blowouts/replacements. I think the ratio is like 10 to 1.

Basically a person can take the number of tires they own, and know that in a given year they will x amount of tire problems. It holds really true I know that.

For instance, for me I have:

    Tractor: 4
    (2) Cars: 8
    Log Trailer: 4
    Manure Spreader: 2
    Woods Trailer: 2
    Wheel Barrow: 1
    Harrow: 2
    Lawn Mower: 4
    Wood Chipper: 2

So I have 29 tires: that means I will have about 3 tires to replace per year, which is just about right.
