It's not terrible, but I want to keep what hearing I have left.

No worries. Just use muffs or plug's like you've been doing. I think you'll really enjoy the 046 when she gets back. Talk about power to weight ratio. Those ported 70cc saw's are really nice imo.

Well, I got to get the 660 out for about 3 cuts this afternoon on a big burr Oak. I did switch back to the 7 spline and what a world of a difference in power running the 32" bar. It had a lot less trouble and finished the cuts strong. You could tell that it had more torque with the 7 spline vs. the 8 spline. Quite interesting how much difference there was.

I've got about 4 or 5 logs that measure out between 32" and 36" in diameter, that I'll get to as soon as I get some of the smaller ones out of the way.

I just remembered lol... All this talk about 7 and 8 pin rims- I have the original 7 pin rim for your 046. Mike and I replaced it with my 8 pin when we did videos with her. It didn't dawn on me when you mentioned that the 046 had 8 pin on her when you got her. I'll shoot the 7 to ya in the mail Monday a.m. You can just keep the 8.

Yea, me either...me either... I'm assuming on it all, since I've never seen it before. But in my mind thats what makes since. Unless you can think of anything that would have caused it?

I can think of absolutely nothing to make that saw do that. This is just unreal.
