Dang-are the cold nights ever gonna end???? Won't bore you with pics of the move, my surprise in the stack of mostly white oak and pig-nut hickory was the Bradford pear...love the burn, love the blue flames..This stack is from May '15. I trust this finds all well and warm,,,
My wife says we should be getting some melting here next week so that will help. It means lots of work dealing with snow and ice but better it happens in spurts.
What a great looking fire AW! Low and slow.... Kinda fun when you run into something in the stacks that you forgot about. That Fireview stove is awesome! Forecast is still looking kinda cold for the next couple weeks too...
That is a beautiful flame Ashwatcher. One of these days I'll get around to cleaning the glass on our stove so it will look like yours. Seems I start with clean glass and because we don't go long without a fire (this is our only heating source) we don't get to clean the glass until the following spring. I should have cleaned it last week when we let the fire go out but was busy on other things, or maybe just plain lazy.
Oh we always get a couple squalls here in March. It was, however, our both 2nd wettest and 2nd warmest Feb on record here in WV...but half the state is covered in snow, the rest was all rain for the most part -calling for snow here Wed, just a spit
