It came with a stack of repair receipts, anyone looking for a Omaha utility bed setup? I'm looking for a used flat bed, I see a few local.

Make sure it's for a pickup chassis. The frame is narrower on the cab and chassis trucks.

The old 7.3's don't need that newfangled "designer" fuel either. They're just fine with heating oil. Off road use only of course.

We picked this up today for $400. I don't see a data tag so it might be home made, does have spring loaded hidden rectangle doors on the left side so???

Another 100000 miles shouldn't be a problem, I have 475000 on my 03 and still not adding oil between oil changes.

Hopefully it has had the injectors replaced already...that's a pretty common (and pricey) repair around 250k...unless the PO was completely anal about oil changes...then you may get another 50-100k outta 'em. If you ever need to pull the valve covers (glow plugs) do yourself a favor and look up the "quarter trick"...basically Ford found that the plastic multi-connector that is built into the valve cover gasket for the glow plugs and injector wiring can work loose and cause all kinds of problems. They made a shim to jam under the connector lock tab...but people found out that a regular old quarter fits perfectly...I'm cheap so I used a couple flat washers I had laying around...also fit perfectly. :D

That looks like a heck of a score on that flatbed...around here used flatbeds bring premium money because everybody is wanting them to replace their rotted out factory beds. I had to pay $400 for a flatbed that is not as nice as that one...one like that here would be $800-$1000 more than likely. Before everybody's older Superduty beds started rotting off you could find $2-400 used steel flatbeds without even trying too hard...
