County to my south. Another tragedy involving activities that interest us.

I wonder what happened. It sounds like a major barber chair.:(

    Let's be careful out there.

Not something you want to hear or read but shows that our way isn’t anywhere safe. Even with good judgment. Take care of yourselves all of you. Someone loves you, don’t ask me why.

Sounds like a chair. A person has to keep their mind on the task at hand . And even then there are surprises.
    It is sad !

Dangerous work what we do at times, every now and then a tree will have a mind of own and do things that can scare you, or worse.

Yep I have been where he is, almost to the day a year ago, but fortunately was able to come to and get to the hospital (Spring pole and not a barber-chair though).

Sad for sure, but kind of respect him too. I hope I am still sawing trees at age 76.

Too bad that happened. Hard sometimes to know your limits. No one wants to "stop" being able to do something. But we all slow down, our reaction time is slower. May not get out of the way as fast, or even see it coming. Age will overcome will. I have a friend who shovels snow off roofs to make some extra change. He is in his 70's. Says he has always done it. I hate to think what is going to take to tell him to leave somethings to the younger ones. Me, I won't go up more than two steps on any ladder etc.
While I'll cut some stuff up with my saw, I won't be cutting anything down.
