Wow. I'm amazed reading about the coming temperatures next week. I got all excited when I see low 50's predicted for us here but when I see mid 60's and 70's predicted...Wow! Looks like we might be a bit wet too.
I use a desktop. Bring up the page with the weather and hit "PrtSc" on the keyboard. Then bring up Paint. Paste that picture in and "Crop" it. Save as a jpg file and give it a name. Bingo.
looks cools but that's a few steps for sure. Same thing could be done on a phone but would basically require just as many steps. Our plum trees in the yard yesterday had a few buds that broke and almost all of them today are broken. I noticed 2 days ago that the buds were big and swollen. This is earlier than even last year and the mild winter we had. We had a normal temp winter this year with that week of extreme deep cold. I guess we got some warmer temps and everything thought it is spring. I keep saying that were going to have a big killing frost in march and knock it all back.
Depending on the OS, you can search for “Snip” at the “Start” menu...(I guess a MS product), and it allows you to simply drag a box of your size/choosing and you can copy/paste it here, or to any doc... without invoking “Paint.” Very handy and super quick.
Actually is quicker to do than to explain. A few clicks and it is done. The buds don't surprise me. Not sure how many have tapped maples so far but it will be running if it isn't already. Now I see where 60 is forcast for Tuesday here. No doubt some will see 70 not too far south of us.
Yup, a plug patch. Two for one! (not just a plug) Years ago, back in the 90's, I picked up a snowmobile ice stud in a tire while driving through a small town. The local shade tree mechanic had some plugs and put one in and the tire never had another problem! I believe the state has outlawed them now-a-days......
