Awesome! Wife has been eating better and started going to the gym since mid December. Starting to look like the hottie that I got pregnant 5 years ago again. I took that as my cue, and I've got my azz on the wagon too. No plans or structured diet, just eating healthy. Two weeks and I've about had it with chicken and salad!
How does buckthorn burn? None of the stuff we have here is big enough to burn ( in a stove) but I fear it will get big enough despite our best efforts to kill it off. Does the large buckthorn still have the thorns?
Burns great. There are two kinds and I have yet to take the time to determine which one seems harder. I don't know how it rates on the BTU scale as I can't find any info on it as firewood. Not even European threads which is where this evil plant is from. My buddies and friends guess it to be a little harder than ash but not as hard as oak. Usually only have to split it once, often not at all if you burn rounds. It is a ton of work though and do it to help out the woodlands and keep what I is worth keeping. Treat the stumps too. The bigger they get seems fewer thorns.
Snowblowed (snowblew? snewblew?) WTH! Ran the snowblower at the cottage today and re-opened the driveway. I had driven down there about a month and a half ago without removing the snow first and of course, that made some nice ruts to deal with for the snowblower. That, and some Jack Assparagus had parked sideways across my driveway....probably the drunks next door had guests, but who knows? The vehicle was long gone but left even more ruts for me to deal with. Anyway, with some warm days in the future month or so, the driveway should pretty much level out with the melting snow.
No worries, the pellet heads have the same trouble when they use leaf blowers for the pellet stove & pipe. LBT.
I moved my new portable wood shed in to place and filled it with River red gum. Then I cooked a pork roast, with potatoes, pumpkin, carrots and onions on the kamado. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
On the way home from fish fry last evening, picked up a nasty flat tire....two blocks form home! Could hear something "clicking" in the tire tread and drove into the garage, looked at the tire...it was already low enough that you wouldn't want to drive on it any more. What luck to be so close to home, though. Anyway, ran it to a repair shop and heading out to pick it up shortly.
We had one of those this days week...now they callin for low 70s on Tuesday! Louisiana Belch Tryouts?
