If you go with the Bota in the pic, I would get chains for the back tires. I saw that same Bota but with a plow on it being pulled out because he didn't have chains.

Our Rhino would be good plowing in certain areas without the chains and pretty much useless in other areas in the woods without the chains.

Love the Toolcats, but they are around $60,000 new (I think).

I'd take a blower over a plow any day and the side by sides come in handy for property maintenance. I don't think you'd ever regret buying that machine.

My concerns with a blower is heavy, wet snow and visibility on windy days. They are a lot faster than a plow and with dry snow you can you can wait until the end of the storm to clean up.

I have a Polaris 900 ranger that comes in real handy around the farm but the Kubota is even better because of the hydro dump and weight capacity but I would get a plow over the snow blower

Ummm... you're still gonna have your tractah though... right? When the occasional pita frozen block type snow happens... you use the bucket to bust up the snow... and the blower to remove... with coffee in hand... :dancer:... and, if possible, only blow heavy wet snow the following morning when it's re-frozen a bit... to blower launch grade snow... ;)... visibility, inside an enclosed cab, is a moot point... (you won't care cuz you're warm and dry... :coffee:)

The biggest thing with a side by side, especially if you want your wife to use it, is to be SURE it has power steering. Without it, they can be a bear to steer. Add a snowblower and it would even be worse.

I say this from real world experience.

You’d have to pry the tractor out of my cold, dead hands!

Any regrets to buying what you really desire will end when the payments stop. If you compromise to much the regrets will last much longer.

My small Ariens does well with heavy wet snow. I don't think it would be a problem with the setup you're looking at. I can shoot it 50 feet and put it where I want it. No more frozen plow piles to deal with. It's also better in the major storms when it gets too deep for the plows.

My body is busted up. Arthritis and too fat. I keep trying to win the fat battle, but I am such a yo-yo with sticking with it. I'll go a year, then fall back. Now beginning to think about a surgical intervention. My brother had that done, so did my daughter. Brother lost too much weight, daughter is in the right range. Nephew had the sleeve done and he is doing just fine.

I wish I had a blower instead of a plow on my tractor. I get frustrated when the only snow left is in the mounds surrounding my driveway.

A blower definitely works better than a plow. Wet snow, that is no issue for a blower, not if it's a 2 stage.
