Yes she is. I have never had such a "cuddle bug" in my life! If I sit down, she has to be right in my lap and face :). She is my "wifes" dog but it sure doesn't seem to be panning out that way. I had nothing to do with this :zip:...

Thank you for listening to my complaints about the vet clinic we went to back in late Nov. This came in on the local "lost pets" group FB today. Something needs to be fixed at that clinic. Meanwhile we found a different clinic to take our pets to.

"UPDATE: they found him in a broom closet st the vets office, thank god!

Please help us find Tidus, he just had surgery yesterday and somehow escaped the vets office, he is very sick and should be handled with care, he may even still have a cone on his head [IMG] please call me with any info 9707344610 this is my daughters cat and the vets office is near Walmart"

So horrible it's hard to type, someone at the same clinic lost a child last year, went to work and forgot the infant was in the back (heat/dehydration).

I worked as both vet asst and kennel staff at a humane society for several years, vet was in house. Sure, we lost a wiley wolf hybrid that was a frequent flier to the pound, but he could open gate latches and door knobs, even found him in the ceiling once after he got into the dog food storage room and used the bags of dog food as steps. But how long does a sedated cat with a cone have to be left unattended to disappear?

Yes I saw that, just that while I like all dogs, ones with make up and salon treatments don't impress me so much as ones that go out and jump in the mud. That poor dog even looks like it has eye make up on. It is the owner's right to make a fool out the pet, just so long as it isn't abuse. Those dogs don't win money, just prestige. The owners pay thousands to ride the dog show circuits. The only pay off I know of is the stud fees they can get. Even that doesn't come close to what they pay out.

I'm sorry to hear about Melody. Hopefully she still has lots of time left. One of my dogs had a tumor in her mouth the vet took it out and she was fine. You may want to consider another opinion.

Thor, may I ask what kind of dog your big brindle is? I just had a dog show up here last night, he came back with our Max from one of his nightly jaunts. He doesn't want to leave, he adores Max and follows him around and sleeps next to his bed. Max isn't so sure about all of that. Anyway he is big and brindle, could be a Treeing Tennessee Brindle? The picture i took isn't very good it's in the barn. Max in the background exhausted from his long roaming night. I'll drive around tomorrow to see if any of the neighbors know him, right now my truck has a flat. He seems to be a sweet boy, he is even neutered, so hopefully there is a home he belongs to. We really don't need yet another big dog:hair:

To be fair, those Bichon's have hair that absolutely needs a salon treatment all the time. When I was grooming, we had a client that with one and the hair is so soft that it will matt if you look at it wrong, much less if the dog moves or lays down. Not the poor dog's fault. I don't know why they were bred to have such soft hair unless it was used for wool-type material. They are very loveable and loving and supposedly tolerated better by people with allergies.
