Finish my taxes today using Turbo Tax. Checked and triple checked and everything looked correct. All I can say is, "Sometimes you fall into a pool of chit and come out smelling like a rose. My granddaughter's husband works for a carpet laying firm. They are having a good remnant sale. We bought 2 rooms of carpet for $350. Heck one of the rooms cost me over $600 15 years ago. He is going to lay it and get the padding at his employee discount.
Our taxes are due April 30th and T4s and receipts must be issued before Feb. 28. We have to wait until March before we can start filing.
Guess we're going to urgent care in the morning. Lil one came home with a cold several days ago, now all 3 of us now feel like we were run over by a truck. Hopefully they can help with our coughs and sore throats.
Thanks D This is the first nasty one the whole school year so I guess we're lucky. Interesting, lil one's rural school with a total of 29 students grades K-5 sent home a fact sheet on what to look for and when to keep a child home 4 days ago
Argh, like you don't have enough issues with Blondie and just general winter stuff anyway. Hope you all get better quickly!
Thankfully, my little one only brought a cold into the house this week. I have a headache and my head just doesn't feel right today. Sucks because it's warmish out and I could be being productive.
Every time I look in the mirror I look like a cat! All fuzzy and cuddly! Well maybe not cuddly more like ugly.
Six more inches of snow tonight and then snow to sleet to rain tomorrow. Spring comes in April, hopefully.
We had a warm day, 47°, no rain yet, so I did some splitting. Now I'm tired, but good tired. Rain all day tomorrow.
Hit a barn sale this morning looking for a Peavey. None there but ran into a friend I hadn't seen in a year or so. He towed away an new to him splitter. Then I remembered a Blue Collar Antique Store not far away. Good thing I had a flashlight with me. After an hour of perusing I asked the owner about a Peavey and he thought he remembered one hanging on the wall in the cellar. We walked around back, he slid open the door and asked me to close it when I was done. Again, glad I had a flashlight. I found it. Offered 20 and we shook hands. Also admired this beastly vintage McColloch at the store.
Mowed the lawn today. Been mowing pretty much all winter actually! Getting ready for spring! Think warm thoughts folks!
