Ugh my fat azz is 5 days into a diet, and I'm struggling to get used to being on the wagon. I swear my body is just messing with me. I ate plenty at dinner, but I am starving!
The 97 7.3 powerstroke in my bronco takes forever and a day to warm up, even driving around town. I have the diesel radiator almost completely blocked off with coraplast. The only spot that isn't blocked is where the aftermarket tranny cooler is. I drive it year round like that.
I've been hungrier than usual for a few months now. Had to try the old Levi's 501 trick on my jeans (dampen waist band with water and wear to stretch out). Meh.
You will always be a friend WW. Sometimes life trials can get you down, I was home with my Lil, one, she's almost 13, she needs to learn how to change a tire before she gets a license. Teaching moment plus help out a guy recently divorced getting back on his feet. 2 birds 1 stone..
Your deeds always cause a big smile on this end Lyle. Looking forward to your next time to Waterville...
Monin hawduhs... gotta tell ya, after many years of moving snow with shovels, blowers, tractuhs and plows... this ole faht is feeling mighty grateful as I now get to watch our plow guy totally lay waste to a day's job (for me)... in about 25 minutes. Got about 10" yesterday. Guy was here at 4 am. Plowed and sanded drive and 2 large parking areas (excess snow pile area). His 9' V plow with sander on back, is quite a rig. And sippin' on a coffee watchin' him go at it is... whew... . And, I may not break anything on the Jeep now...
Visiting with my Dad this morning. Caffeine and breakfast in now. I’ll be taking a break from all things Internet for a while. You Firewood Hoarders stay warm and safe and have some fun. I’ll be back.
Good morning, was 9 degrees this morning, about done with coffee. Scored a big load of ash yesterday which has me stoved up a little, thinking I'll go after another one today. It's easy pickins, a guy is clear cutting 7 acres for a pond he's gonna dig this spring. "Easy Pickins" is relative to ones youth,,,,or lack of. Pop a couple Motrins and carry on.
7 acres is a decent sized pond! I guess it needs some open area around it. Work smart! Definitely worth going after it, you'll be glad you did.
The woodlot is 7 acres, he's planning a 1 1/2 to 2 acre pond, it about 12/14 miles from here but nice flat county roads to get home on. I've gotta' 15 acre woodlot just down the street, literally just a few hundred yards with some great firewood but it's a thick, overgrown woodlot. I have spent spent a great deal of time busting brush getting to the firewood. After exhausting the 7 acres, I'll get back to busting brush closer to home.
That's wise, get the easier and temporarily available stuff first. Fight the brush when there's nothing else better to do.
Sold 6xx board feet of black walnut on Monday. Nice little check! I was shocked to see how small of logs they accept (saw 10" diameter and 8' long). I'm gonna start stashing logs from tree jobs I do and see how it works out taking them to the mill periodically. Gonna use the funds to help buy a full size tracked skidsteer. We had a good battle loading those with my mini skidsteer.
Looked out and saw it was raining so put on rain gear for the walk. Get outside and it is not raining. Halfway through the walk it was raining and then it quit. Coming up the hill to home the stars were out, quarter moon and the sky getting lighter in the east. campinspecter is moving wood for Mom today so hopefully it will be nice weather for it.
