NH mountain man, nice score! Do you have a splitter? Some of that may be ready by next winter, it dries so fast.

Yes I've got a splitter, it should be all split and stacked by late March or April depending on how much snow we get and when it melts.I may need to use a little of it next year as I only have about 3 cords that will be dry then. I have about 7 cords that will need two more years

I picked up another load today, just got home and unloaded. I had to bring a couple of skids to throw in the brook to cross. DSCN1792.JPG DSCN1794.JPG DSCN1797.JPG DSCN1798.JPG DSCN1799.JPG

I always bring my Fiskars X27 to split the bigger rounds on site and save my back.

NH mountain man that indeed a good one and good for you jumping on it so fast. That soft maple, if you split it soon, will be ready to burn next winter! Hard maple needs a bit more time.
