I run 2 Asus RT-AC86U AC2900 routers (1 as router, 1 on other side of house set as an access point, hardwired from router), cable modem is an Arris SB8200 DOCSIS 3.1. Have only used Asus routers for the last 7 years and have never had a problem. Excellent signal coverage over both floors of the house and all over the yard.

I have full yard coverage with any of my routers on 2.4 but not 5.0. The house is no trouble on either. The yard is 3+ acres.

I understand, this is the only game we've watched the entire season.

I was trying to keep the number of options down, with this bunch you can't be too careful.

Well, had to break out the ice grippers for the 1st time this winter. That wet sn*w we got yesterday (maybe 1/2") turned to slush with the rain last night, and now a crunchy ice. Figured I'd play it safe when walking the dog. I hate ice.

Well I talked to Spectrum's technical support and since the software in my modem is current there will be no upgrade.

Projected temps are alright but all that snow that other people won't be able to handle for the drive home.

Bah just looked at the weather to Bogie and forecasting possible 10" for the commute home which will not be so bad leaving Hellvard but once I get on rt.2 it is gonna suck big time, not looking forward to it as after a 14 hour day driving home for who knows how long I have to fire up the snowblower that is if I can make into the driveway ....
