I'm Jim and new here. I introduced myself to the forum in post#78821, member #972: here. This is the latest iteration of a beard I've had since 1967: Today, it's much bigger than above (sorry, I don't do "selfies") but I will be trimming it back to summer size (as shown above) when this cold winter is finally over.
Thanks for the welcome DexterDay! I figured out how to edit my post above to link to my introduction message.
Welcome photo guy! Around Christmas walking down the street, you see any young kids walking into walls when they look at you? Ho ho ho, love the beard! Enjoy the site!
After 1 of our snow storms this winter I keep it year round and keep it trimmed I've only been clean shaven once in the last 28 years for about 6 weeks as soon as I got fired from that chit job beard came back
Oh? How young were you thinking? Beard is only a winter commitment for me. Sadly, i hope winter breaks soon!
I thought you were older, not younger. Hard to judge age over the net. But I figured you yo be in your late 30's to 40's? In a PM, I revealed my age to a member and informed them I was 30 (at the time), and they told me, that they pictured me to be 50!! LOL...
Appreciate the welcome, We'll Seasoned! I stop trimming it in August so it's twice as big by Christmas. I play Santa every year for the old folks and their grand/great-grand children at a county long-term care facility where my wife is the Director of Nursing. Been doing it for more than 30 yrs now. I do have lots of fun with youngsters & toddlers wherever I'm traveling for my photo shoots-- little kids still believe in Santa so all I do is ask "have you been a good boy/girl for Momma and Daddy?" Man, their eyes just get as big around as silver dollars and look to momma for approval, who by now has a huge grin and a look of "thanks" in her eyes. I usually carry a few lollipops in my pocket for these wonderful encounters. My wife has never seen me without a beard--claims she'll cut it off for my funeral just to see what I look like without the "womb broom."
