As far as I know, in my area, there isn't anything to sign up for. It had to do with not wanting meter readers out there who many times would claim to read meters but wouldn't (the bill would tell you when it was an estimate). I no longer get bills that don't make sense - my bill used to spike sharply in December and the bill would say it was an actual reading. Since I don't do Christmas that was BS - especially since my January bill would be the lowest of the year. Now they are very even thru seasons.
Good mornin', mid 30's with single digit temps rolling in tonight. Coffee is on and a chance of flurries. A good day for saw/chain maintenance and generally goofing off.
Mine did the same thing when we got a smart meter as did many in the town. There answer was that the old ones are geared and those internals wear out and tolerances between parts increase and there not as calibrated as they once were. It makes sense to some degree, but to go up as much as they did, I too was skeptical. That's how they justify them I guess they hear all the stories of bills going up due to lost power I guess so they can get their money back fast on them. My wife's parents at their old house had one that would just stop spinning. Some months they would have like a $25 power bill in the summer when it should have been like $400. You could tap it and it would start spinning again...Sometimes at like half the speed it should have sometimes at full speed. It eventually would stop again.
I have loved leather seats since I had kids, extremely easy to clean up gross stuff. Saabs which grandfather sold, have had heated seats since my first one a 1979 anyway.
Weather has been bipolar.....got a big snowfall the night before last, then it went as quick as it came, back to a lot of ground visible. Looks like mom's neighborhood has switched to a better oil....but with it being February already, won't be long till its not needed. Time flies. Her cats are moving in and getting comfortable..... I was eating chicken the other day and had a set of eyes on me nearly constantly
Well, sometimes it happens. I had been up for about an hour or more when I posted that. Just got back on the computer.
It would not amount to that much more. They've tried to get us to sign up for the peak hour thing but never will give numbers as to what it will really mean. One can't live on promises alone, especially when it comes to the purse.
The last car we bought I wanted heated seats but could get only if buying leather seats too along with some other things. Expensive. Instead, we got regular seat cloth and went to another place and got heated for $250.
