Howdy folks: As most of us are aware, Woodstock ran out of Ideal Steel cats and just got a new batch in recently. I received mine today and was rather surprised at its appearance.....it's brown and covered with a rust-like dust. Anyone else receive something like this?
I went down and picked up two, a couple Saturdays ago. If I am correct Woodstock bronzes or welds the outside flange on a cat and I think that's what you're seeing.
I know they were back ordered so they probably put less time in the finish is not a visible part anyway and it works great
When we received our stove I noticed the same thing. I was wondering if it was through a test fire or something. But everything seems to be working great, so I don't see it, it's not a problem. Chaz
I have three cats - one that looks like a cow - color AND size - one all black - one that is grey with white feet - he’s the cutest and he knows it! Oh - the cat in my IS is glowing a dull orange right now, 1.5 years old. I did just order a new one to have as a spare as it seems the price keeps going up. Suposed to be here Thursday.
