Did you build your stake rack to protect your back window also? I have the lumber to do mine and debating on building to protect my back window vs just sides that are easy to pop in or off. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T377A using Tapatalk
My stacks are probably 40% live oak, 20% maple, 40% pine. I'll post up picks tomorrow, you guys can verify the percentages I measured with my eyecrometer. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T377A using Tapatalk
I would prefer side racks with a proper headache rack mounted permanently. There are nicer designs by other hoarders. All the sections lift off easy. Maybe 4-5 minutes from mounted in the truck to propped up in the barn.
Soft woods - Alligator Juniper, Arizona Cypress, Shaggy Bark Juniper, Deodar Cedar, Douglas Fir and a couple chucks of Arbor Vita Hard Woods - Apple, Apricot, Cottonwood, Choke Cherry, American Elm, Siberian Elm, Honey Locust, Black Locust, Purple Robe Locust, Silver Maple, Mulberry, Mountain Mahogany, Emory Oak, Arizona White Oak, Gambel Oak, Plum, Peach, Pear, Black Walnut. << probably a couple I'm forgeting
If it stops raining long enough I'll get this split and in my stacks soon. Cut it all down to 16's as of now. Thought I was grabbing a bunch of almond, oak, birch, and some odds/ends from a local arborist. Turns out the oak is camphor (smells like Vicks vapor rub while cutting it) and the almond might be madrone, someone smarter than me would have to tell me. Equal amounts of lodgepole, fir, and engelmann spruce. Now that enough snow has melted I'm going up for the big fir that winter kicked over. 3 more weeks of burning for me.
Mostly madrone and camphor, a rick of live oak from last year, and a smattering of ash, birch, fir, and pine. All from local arborist. About 3 cords total Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk
