I just took a walk through the woods with the dog, it's 13 without any wind......what a perfect night for it.
NOAA is calling for -4 tonight with a windchill of -17 so we'll go with Sugar Maple & Oak in the Liberty with the pellet stove temp set to come on at 77. Last year we burned 48 bags of pellets, we should hit 40 bags by the middle of next week.
We had 1 degree this morning so we loaded up the Liberty which had some nice coals with the same mixture of splits. The Pellet Stove kicked on during the night so the basement temp was 80 with a temp of 71 up here.
16 degrees today with a strong sun and not very much wind back here but once you get out in the open the wind is stronger.
I missed this thread, but after reading all 17 pages of it. I don't have much to add except my temperatures are not that much different from thewoodlands. He must send the cold to me. . Can we please have some of our northern members shut the door and keep these arctic blasts in the north thank You. Until then I burning dry wood.
It's three degrees with the temp heading south, the Liberty has all Oak going with the Pellet Stove on in the opposite corner. The temp in the basement is 81 and the temp up here 71.
It's 21 tonight so we'll burn some Maple in the Liberty, Soft and Sugar. The temps heading north, it's 25.
