Rope, this is a 461 right? I think a challenge has been made to cut mote than 5 tanks with that great saw! You need to get to:saw::stacker:

1/4 to 2/3 of new price depending on condition & compression. 2/3 full price would need to be a new or nearly new slug & jug, good plastic & bar.
What on earth are you slackers doing, I put 2 1/2 tanks through my 660 on Saturday in just a couple hours. :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:  Of course it was a really big Red Oak log.

Edit: That saw ain't built for fuel economy either though. Makes nice power.

I just liked running the others better than that 461. It run good but I had too many then.

Don't take me long now. 4 runners for work saws and a pipe saw.

It is. I run it just enough to see where it stacked up and decided it was too nice for me to keep.

I was kinda thinking that 660 might be the same way, but it's such a workhorse I know I won't part with it.

I appreciate everyone letting her go so I can give her a home. I have about 3-4 tanks so far. She has found a home. She eats the white spruce like a fat chick on a chicken wing, no offense I like chicken wings too.

Used saws here bring nearly new price. If it was nice it might fetch $800-900. If it is rough $500-600.

I have an MS 660 with about 10hrs total run time ... I used it to buck up about 10 big red oaks like this one ... it’s stock with a ported muffler with a 32” bar ... DBDA215D-7771-4AC1-BEF1-2BD7ACC52D0C.jpeg

If well - maintained and fed good mix oil the STIHL pro saws are known to run about 2000hrs or about a year of 40hrs / week cutting ...

I would pay $800 for a real nice 660 without a problem, I just can't find one in my area. I've seen a few at that price, but they are to far away. I paid $700 for my 461 that is in real good shape.

I need a 660 like the proverbial hole in the head-but if found a clean, lightly used one for $700 or so, I'd be crazy enough to buy it!
