Dennis is kind of in the same boat as I am....a slightly larger boat, but the IS would still be a bit big at his place.
I like to be able to let the stove run once in a while.... :fire:

How about a USB port run off the TEGs? Then we can charge our smart phones during a power outage so we can keep posting on the forum. :D

I really like the looks of that stove. If they make one in a 3-3.5 cu. ft. firebox, I'd be interested for sure!!!

Well that would be a cool option Lorin! Even a 120V blower would be OK by me.. Just need to push the heat out in colder weather..

This would be an AWESOME option, especially if a power outage occured......your blower would still be plugging along....

I'm with you Ray, I like having a blower to help out with the convection........my blowers run all season long, any time the stoves are burning. Definitely helps in heat transfer.

Not sure why some people are so dead set against a blower Scott.. You can always turn it off or on as needed.. It's a plus when you really need the heat and great for evening out the heat too..

They put antlers on the IS; I'm pretty sure they could set you up with a pair of wings if you want. :)

No problem for those who want it but we've had stoves with blowers and hated them. One we thought would work out well didn't last very long. When it died, the quiet in the home was awesome. Now we have no need for a blower as the radiant heat gets to all corners of the house just fine.

30 and above I can kill the blower, below 30 it's on low. Low is usually fine unless I let the house temp drop.

Yep, I know Steve, but I didn't want to wait anymore. Sooo.....I jumped on the annual HD deal on the NC30.
It's been up and running for a couple days now.
Maybe I'll revisit the possibility of getting one of these other stoves (or a new one) in a couple years.

When a company gets in that positive mode of leveraging innovation from one product to move quickly to another product and then another.. in the product management/marketing world we call that Rolling Thunder.

WS right now has got a lot of Rolling Thunder! :)
