It's been really nice here on the couch, sipping coffee and posting pics, but I have to carry some wood in before it rains.
I'm not sure anyone knows the main purpose now, its morphed with many other issues beyond voting. Glad it was not out of control like 2017. We have a Sanyo from about that time, still works great! And get this, it's now in the 5th wheel, and my husband takes it on 4 wheel drive roads , even with all the rocking bumping and vibrations, still works! Dogs were out not more than a few minutes for morning business, both were doing a frozen foot dance switching feet to stand on.
I called one of our new techs today to ask about getting a job done. He sounded like he was ready to break, and I figured that it would be best to not push too hard. So I told him that I would do a job for him, since it was very important for me to have it done since I'm trying to get more business from this customer. Now I remember why I gave up being a tech, my back just can't handle this crap anymore. Hopefully drinking like a pirate will help the problem.
Still waiting for my W-2s from my former employer. Had to ask for them the first year I was there...It was already Feb and the manager told me "Yeah, I have them...don't worry" Guess they didn't have to have them out by the end of Jan like the rest of the nation!
Don't they legally have to have them out to employees by the end of January? My taxes are done. The IRS won't accept certain portions until the 26th. So..... I'd like my money now please.
TV's ahhhhh. A co-worker had a nice Samsung TV crap out in under 2 years. He replaced it will a different brand, can't recall right now but it was a major brand ( not Sony) and that took a dump too in a year or so. My parents bought a nice lg smart TV and it went out in 3 years. A $700 tv to last that little time? Our Vizio we got in 2008 or 2009 is solid. Knock on wood. But it's too small at 32" and only a 720p. It will be our spare/ office tv once we get a bigger, up to 50" for the family room. I hear great things about Sony's, even from those that don't want to like Sony products.
Our 2010 Vizio 32" is still going strong too...but the 28" from a couple years earlier crapped out after a power outage...it won't power down, but the screen never produces a picture either...it will show numbers when the channel is changed, but that's it...weird.
I have the LED Samsung flatscreen that we bought in 2007 or 2008 (way more expensive then than they go for these days). It still has a nice, crisp picture without any lost pixels and I've never had any issues with it. Now the Samsung big-azz tube TV we got before that only lasted 4-5 years so I guess it is a cr*p shoot. However, they are so cheap these days they are pretty much "disposables"
Yeah, thats what I was told also...by the end of Jan. I was trying to make a point about the lack-a-daisical approach to the whole attitude of getting them out to us on time! Don't think it went over too well.
My last day of work was this past May. I'll probably have to go and pick them up since it was from the same employer.....
Mornin' Hoarders, 29 here this a.m. . Woke up to about 8" of new snow that had been doused with freezing rain most of the night. The township was nice enough to have left about 2' of winter wonderland piled at the end of our laneway. The new Bota' will get it's first real work out a little later this morning. Coffee is really good this morning. Everyone have a great day and stay safe.
