33F and drizzle here. Suppsed to be in the mid 50s tomorrow, so I switched back to the cappy shoulder maple. Though, I forgot to change my routine too. Sitting in front of the stove while it ramps up with the bypass open, mindlessly surfing on here. I look up and it looks angry in there. IR measured well over 600F stack temps!

Got her settled down now. Good thing I never leave the stove until the bypass is shut.

It was not much above freezing outside this AM and drizzling, raw so got a fire going early and burned half loads of red oak down to almost nothing before reloading again to keep it between 70/72 all day.

May seem odd to yall, but we can hit 70f on any day of winter here.
I'm down with a bad cold (hopefully that's all it is). No fire today.

Supposed to get a few inches of snow today into tomorrow afternoon, but all it's done is rain and sleet all day. Looks like the snow is staying up in the UP.
Might get some tonight....going down to 26.
Just about to load the stove with a small load of Ash, then another load for overnight before bed about 11-12PM.
    IAT is 72.

Got to 49F here today with 1.68" showing in the rain gauge. Horrible sloppy mess. A little snow possible overnight, but nothing major. Low right at freezing predicted. Cooler through Wednesday, then warming back up. It'll be a small load of Cherry tonight.

48 degrees here. I turned the free natural gas up to about 70 but it still does not feel as warm as when the wood/coal furnace is running...
