Where as we get it every winter over here. . When a warm front comes in it brings and /or creates moisture. When that moisture touches things that are frozen it sticks to it. And , this is just what I think , I think that it develops a polarity issue or something and attracts more moisture to it. We get so much moist air from the coast that we get lots of hoar frost. It builds up on Everything. It builds up So thick you can't tell a live spruce from a dead one. 5 above. Poplar in the stove.
36 out, 73 in....heading for 42 today, 45 Sun. & 53 Mon. & rainy drizzle.....not looking forward to that at all.
40 degrees in the city with no pity ... gotta bunch of “longs” that won’t fit in the stove and today’s the day to slice and dice !
Going to 40 here too, so I let stove go cold to vacuum fly ash and check chimney. Yup 2 cord less than 1/4 cup a little darker than I'd like but hey cat was dying. Warming up with pine and punk popular
Sitting at -8 C feels -13 C, or 18 F feels 8 F this morning. It's actually colder than I thought it would be but still way above normal. Poplar chugging along.
3/4 to an inch of rain forecast for us on Monday and 40 degrees. With the ground being froze, that ought to make things interesting.
Late tomorrow night into Tues. afternoon we're supposed to get 4-8" of snow. We'll see if that changes. It usually slows down quite a bit once it hits Gaylord (about 35 miles west of us) and we end up with a fraction of the forecast. Anyway, 37 OAT right now, headed to 41. Snow is gone from the roof, and quite a bit from the ground, replaced by ice. 73 IAT.
34*f this morning warming into the 40's today Sugar Maple doing a good job in the OWB. Only needing half loads with these temperatures to go 24hrs.
Haha, good one! I am actually sitting in line at the scrap yard selling some of my "collection" and hoard! The wife calls it junk...but last time I checked they didn't pay you for junk!!!
-3 here . Poplar. Gotta go start my van. I hope my wife plugged it in when she went to work this morning. Wasn't cold enough to have it plugged in all night.
