Helped my cousin clear the alley. The neighbor complained of "twirlies" in his yard from this maple. AFTER, enjoyed my first Heady Topper. Sunday helped him load his "keg" room. He was out of wood, we had this cut up earlier in the year and covered. Red Maple or so he says. Most under 20%. Some that wasn't went to start next years supply. (He has a little bit of oak left.) And today, I decided to stay home and actually enjoy the snow outdoors instead of from my cubicle. Last but not least, the wife has been asking for hummus, after a night in a soak, and 3 hours on the wood stove. I broke out the immersion blender ... worked great!
Nice pics. I make my own hummus too. Finally found a place that carried tahini, but haven't used it yet. I've been making mine w/o that so far.
I've used it before, but didn't have any on hand today, with warm pita's coming out of the oven nobody noticed.
Hard to believe anyone would complain about the seeds of a maple, but at least it is good wood. Nice work.
I am so glad I live on the back side of a hill away from neighbors. I wonder who his neighbor complains to about bird droppings? Must be more offensive than tree seeds.
I have a neighbor who complains about leaves. He has cut all the branches on all three sides of his back yard that hang over the property line. He has hired a guy with a bucket truck to cut all the way to the tops. Why he bought a house surrounded by woods I don't know.
We have also seen said neighbor on all 4's in his yard ... cleaning up rabbit droppings. He says "I don't want it to disintegrate in the yard." Piece o work indeed. I haven't ever tried to purchase it, this came back from a skiing trip up north. I have heard Cigar City's Jai Alai is similar, I also think it reminded me of Brewers Art's Ozzy.
