NBC does a great firewood story…

A forum is a place for like minded individuals to gather and share information. The News is a business with the intention to make money via selling commercials. The more viewers, the more it can charge for commercials. The 'better' the story, the more viewers... I can't believe you equate this form to the media. Maybe i'm wrong, but I didn't think FHC.com's intent was to promote wood hoarding/burning for the betterment of society.

I felt, in the short time i've been here, that this is a group of people that I have a lot in common with. Simple life, hard working, outdoors, self sufficiency, internal combustion engines, mud, and maybe a little anti-establishment, etc. I do not try to sell my way of life, however, if someone is interested, I'll gladly explain the what's and why's of it, and will help in any way that I can, usually to a fault, but you got to ask, and be genuine about it. Don't want what I got because you don't have it and I do. Don't take that to mean that I'm stingy, I give away more of my time than I keep for myself.

I'm sure you understood the context, I guess I've just been in the ghetto too long. Happy to be out now! I chuckle at the same type of misused vernacular myself.

Not sure if you saw the NBC clip TC. While it talked about wood stoves and firewood, it's focus was totally on "neighbors helping neighbors" because so many are having a hard time. While it was nice to see a positive NBC clip on anything, without driving globull warming down my throat, I doubt if many of the folks watching will change their lives by becoming firewood freaks. Our fuel of choice is safe I think… :firepit:
