Thank you all again for all your support. Mom got discharged today. They can not do any more for her at the hospital. She is going to need a lot of help and it is going to be a long road. We are trying to figure out how to get some in home healthcare. There seems to be a hundred hoops to jump through to even get the ins. To consider to cover any of it. Lots to try and wade through that is for sure. Our current elderly healthcare is pathetic in many ways and I don't see how anyone can make sense of all of it to get the most out of it. It is like they make it so out of reach to make you just give up instead of studying, and spending countless hours to just get the help needed. I truly feel for anyone that would have to face these challenges on their own. Especially in any condition less then perfect.
Prayers still being sent, wade through it for her. When you get tired, think of how she feels. Patience and love for all.
I ran up against that too, seems that Medicare would cover skilled nursing visits, but not in-home help with meals and such.
Keep up the positive side of it and do what you can. Even though things have happened they are still here with us and need your support now more than ever. When it comes down to it family and friends are all that matters in life. You have neither your a lonely soul and that's not good for anyone . I'm nearly 54 now and my dad is 84, my mom 78 and still here with me. I cross the mountain and help them whenever they need me. I mow the grass and work on their vehicles , give them rides to places whatever they need. I'm grateful to have them both here . They brought me into this world and I'm returni ng the favor so ta speak. Anyway I'll pray for your folks it is always good to pray regardless. I just popped in here by chance, don't know ya but it's good to be there for folks in need. We all should stick together in this world and help out if we can. Karma will repay you one day, it has with me many times . What goes around comes around. I hope your Mom is doing well.. Take care Sent from my N9560 using Tapatalk
