I'm curious whether folks here are familiar with these options:
    Q Stove
    Timber Heaters

Timber also sells a pretty cool little pellet (or firewood) cook stove/oven/grill:
Best Wood Fired Grill - Open Flame and Oven Cooking

Apparently they're only approved for outdoor use, but in an emergency, or a hunting cabin, ice hut, hunting base camp tent or workshop, they might be appropriate.

These things are cool but when I showed the video to the missus she said "why would you want to be on the deck when it is so cold?"
I guess you Yanks are just tougher than us, we would just come back inside and sit on the couch in front of the telly .
Camping in snow, firstly what is snow?? Secondly why would anyone want to do that......

Honestly, I'm always thinking of heating and cooking in prolonged utility outages...

Love the Wiseway concept. Looking at the Home Depot website it looks like most buyers are happy enough. Definitely a bit more work than your average pellet stove but the benefits seem pretty clear. Would try one here if pellets were half affordable.
