Mornin' Hoarders, a crisp, clear -13 F here this a.m. :coffee: taking place and will soon be followed by :flipeggs:a feed of wild blueberry pancakes and thick sliced smoked bacon. Weather gussers say we might get 1-3" of snow overnight Monday into Tuesday. Meanwhile, we get to bask in the - temps for the next little while. At least there aren't any bugs.....................

Took advantage of the warm temps yesterday, Stinny, and ran the Hounds around in the woods yesterday, it was crazy the amount of water running OVER the ice bed in the streams.

I bet that was impressive. Yeah, all that latest water can't get down into the ground cause it's frozen, so it mows over anything in it's path. Hoping things freeze up a little now and slow the melt down until spring. Cool you got a chance to run the hounds in warmer temps.

There was definitely about 2-3" of mud in my yard yesterday. Should be nice and frozen again now though.

Todays our annual Cub Scout Pack winter fun day. Got half a pickup load of wood for the bonfire. Usually the big draw is sledding but the snow situation is kind of sketchy this year. We're going to try an outdoor scavenger hunt this year. I put a few unique items on the list, so pretty soon I need to head over and place a few items out on the trails. Who would expect to find a banana hanging in a tree in Iowa in January?

Clear morning here for our walk. Temps have warmed up to 46 F/ 8 C and it feels like spring. All the bulbs in the garden will be trying to sprout up. campinspecter is hanging washing out on the clothes line as we have a nice wind to go with the sunshine. Even if they don't dry totally, they will smell nice. Football watching and bookkeeping to do today.
