Fisher Grandpa Door Grind out?

I know I posted about this before but here's a good picture, it sure looks like someone ground out a bit of the door flange/overlap?

Nope, just showing how I can see the fire through the doors, nothing from the air knobs.

 

My old Sierra was like that. From the factory as far as I know.

 

Common for the first round door seal since door adjustment is so critical.
They went to the flat seal shortly after to avoid it.
You didn't mention if someone added a door sealing gasket. That will prevent them from closing fully.

If you can eliminate the gap with doors shoved together, the hinge plate placement isn't correct.
Make sure the door opening is 21 wide X 11 high. If larger, the doors may be centered on the seal too far apart.
The stove was laid on it's back, doors laid in place centered on door seal and hinge plates tacked in position. If the doors work and latch, the plates were fully welded in place.
Put a drop light in the stove with stove on it's back. Remove hinge pins to be able to slide doors together.

 

No door gasket, doors close/latch just fine. It just looks like the casting was removed in these two areas?
