We did that here (mostly in MO) for a few years. It is how we all got to be such good friends. Good times we had.

Good natured people with good intentions. I just hope the wood is seasoned enough so that it at least burns....

One of the best feelings in the world is helping out someone in need.

We donated a big pile of firewood several years back, it was a nice feeling.

It doesn't even have to be firewood, donating to someone in need can make a huge difference in their life.

We've done that through our church for years. Just a group of people cutting & splitting for those in need. Pallet Pete has helped out on more than one occasion. Best feeling in the world, even warms me more than my own firewood LOL.

It is a great thing to be able to help people! I'd like to see more of that sort of thing rather than so much greed people seem to show...

During the last power out from an ice storm a neighbour asked for a trunkload of wood for a sister that was without heat. I gave them some but the power was only out for a few more hours. They must have known how much I treasure my wood as they returned all.

We have a local church that gets firewood from a tree service and splits and delivers it to people in the community.
We got a couple truck loads from them the year I pulled a tendon in my arm and couldn't cut or split.
It was enough to allow us to burn wood on the weekends that year

That's a great outreach Rowerwet. Stouffville's town motto is "Country close to the city" so there are lots of wood burners close to town. Good way to bring the love of Jesus to those in need.
