I may have to look into this one! Thumb gets very cold in winter. Also our heated handlebar grips are not that good. I've replaced them once and now they are working only on low, which does not help a lot.
Pete, I hope you follow up on this one as it looks like something that could be very good! Also, don't forget that hot soup in a thermos can help a lot on those really cold days. It warms the body a lot!
Unfortunately it was an auto accident with a fatality. A family lost their 18 year old son. If so inclined, remember them in your prayers. Our problems don't seem so big. My son is much better, though he and mom skipped church.
Yeah, I saw that, after you mentioned them. But this kit is only for the tusk brand handwarmers as an add on. I'm sure you could adapt this to any kit, but if I can just get the raw aluminum off of my gloved thumb, that will work. Either the plastic slip on thumb flipper, or heat shrink tubing. I'm sure we've got a chunk of heat shrink at work that would be scrap for work's use ( cable assembly) but would be good for my use. Freebie.
Wife says to me this morning, honey (yeah she really calls me that) the kitchen sink and bathroom next to it aren't working right. We had a few disasters up here so she is a little gun shy. Sure enough I check it and it doesn't sound right.. I go to the garage and I look at vent pipe on roof sure enough it's 2 feet up only about 4 inches of snow on roof and top of PVC pipr has 6 inches of snow on top. So of course I go to take a picture (just for FHC) sure enough phone won't work.. OK it 22 below so fair enough. I got a feeling a January thaw is needed!
The first lunch is in! I did put press and seal on top to be sure the food stays put there isn’t really anything to stop it from spilling over and getting all mixed up. In the lid is a good rubber spill seal so that’s a plus! We tend to save all the little sauce packets from restaurants so there’s plenty of soy packets for a few years in our back fridge....
I can't believe it! The great and powerful all knowing "Horkn the buyer" didn't know about a product!? I'm surprised you hadn't run across these while snowmobiling...they are super popular in that world too. If I had to pick one or the other, I'd get the throttle heater over the handgrips...poor lil thumb hangin out there all by its lonesome tends to try to freeze off pretty quick! But the combo of heated grips, throttle heater, and the hand guard/covers can't be beat...plus I like the covers because of protecting your hands in the brush and/or woods too If you don't want permanently mounted guards, those velcro'd on hand warmer mitts/bag lookin thingys work pretty darn good for helping keep your hands warm also! We were supposed to get a "snow event" tonight. It went all south. We get nothing, which really, is fine.
Well, I knew of the existence of thumb warmers. They are this sheezy on sleds. I just didn't know there was a product especially made for ATVs.
i made a video of my newly aquired echo in the wood this is hard seasoned maple that has been cut for a few years it was all fun and games till i broke the rim after the video. so time for new one.
