Not just newbies..... Plenty of hooks get tossed in the water here, just to see if anyone bites.. truth is that they sold the jet years ago to pay for the community splitter.
Seems to. I was buying and burning "semi-seasoned" wood (before joining here). One year my sweep told me the liner had caked-on creosote. He recommended this product, I started using it while burning the same kind of wood, and next year I had a much cleaner liner. Now I burn dry wood, but I use it just as insurance.
There've been many threads about it, over the years, different sites. I thought the general consensus was "no". Don't quote me on that. I've never used any.
