I think Clem got it figured . 7 cord of ? Maple ? . ya , that's a score for sure. He could bring the next load to my house. Feel quite badly for u guys. I really do . It's +24°F at my place . No wind. Its a trick trying to keep a fire going without running us out of the house. Way to go Tom , Looks like great fun !
14 Feels like a heatwave ! Maple beech and coal goin in soon! Zero for a high next 2 days. Whole east coast losing their minds over a little snow,,, meh,,, I'll just sit here and catch me a 'round here buzz !
20F and pretty windy this morning. Waiting for the storm to hit. I think I'm ready.....other than noticing that the snowblower is facing the wrong direction in the shed.....and was buried behind the push mower. I'll have to move it to the empty side of the wood shed once everyone is up. Bring on the snowpocalipse!
-15 headed for a whopping 3. Sunny today so that temds to help in keeping the house a touch warmer with some solar help. Pretty much the same for tomorrow. Upper 20s for Sunday and early next week. Gonna have to relearn the stove settings to not cook us outta here!
40mph winds, full blizzard conditions and about 8" of snow on ground. more to come!!! Got some big maple splits in, stocked up inside for the day, it's gonna be a bad one!!!
57F down here at midnight, I have the windows open with a cool breeze cooling of the house before the sun rises and starts cooking us again. Forecast! It's gonna be a warm weekend. Maybe we can get a weather exchange program going. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yep that looks cold. I love the signs on the shed! My view out the back will look like this when the sun rises. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
CBS this morning just did a news broadcast 1/2 mile from my house about the blizzard. That is the Delaware bay and you cant see to the end of the street now which is 100 yards away. We just hit 50mph winds on my little wind scale.
The County and municipality just declared a state of emergency here... I'm expecting power to go shortly, heavy snow blowing and hitting 50mph winds.
Oh yeah!! This is not our first rodeo here though! Some folks get freaked out and go buy 18 gallons of milk, 10 dozen eggs and 16 loafs of bread. The stores and gas stations were "insane" here yesterday. You can't go anywhere in this $#!T anyway and in a day or two everything will be back to normal just with a lot of snow around. The wind is pounding us right now, thats the big problem not so much the snow and the cold. If you live anywhere on the east coast especially from the Carolina's to Maine you can "expect" a good Nor-easter at least once a year. We usually get two and I'm 1/2 mile from the water so when it does happen, we get our @$$es kicked! Best thing to do is just sit back, let it happen and dig out when it's done.
36ºF , rain, 40MPH wind gusts every now and then there's a few big fat snowflakes mixed in, then it goes back to all rain. At some point soon it won't go back to all rain, that's the forecast for here too, so all snow any time now. Red oak fuel for the stove today
50mph wind, still snowing like crazy! Neighbors stuff in my yard, I'm guessing a foot of snow and can't see 200 yards.
Been cold here in Georgia (thought I moved away from this s**t)..in the teens at night and only 35 daytime..got my little Logwood (wood eater) going, but still a comfortable 65 inside. Was chasing a hot water froze up pipe till yesterday, but was smart enough to have Pex installed, so no breaks. Not going to let up much till Tuesday...should be a balmy 50!
