Had medical visit yesterday. I stepped on the scale just before I went in and guess what? A new personal best for me....242! :bug:

Now I will be the first to tell you that I grew as a man over the holidays....at least 10 lbs of growing. But, this is ridiculous! :headbang:

Gonna have to do some serious thinking about doing something sometime soon probably.....

You can get entire thermostats with an auto circulating feature for not much more than the therm guard.

I've been looking at getting one with the auto circulating mode to re distribte the heat from the room the wood stove is in.

So my mom fell head first down the stairs at her sisters place. She wasn't paying attention and instead of opening the bathroom door, she opened the door to the basement, while carrying a laundry basket. The basement door is next to the bathroom door, where the washer and dryer are. She's at the hospital, fractured her left wrist and has a slight fracture in a neck bone, but it's not anywhere as serious as it could be. She'll be released from the hospital tomorrow, and she'll be staying at her sister's for a couple more weeks.

    She's really lucky.

I keep telling her she needs to pay attention and be careful, as she's accident prone.

The worst thing is that she was going to go and visit the middle brother in Florida next week. So that's being postponed.

No driving for 6-8 weeks for her, plus a cat in her left wrist. Good thing she's right handed.

Has been all her life, or just recently?
I don't mean to sound dire, but falls, loss of balance, dropping things, burning food, dizziness, bumps and bruises, in elderly persons, can be early signs of memory problems. I went through that with my mom. It was easy to explain away, until it wasn't. I hope your mom bounces back, it's too bad about missing her trip, especially during this winter!
