Thought better of bag-sale'ing today, 1/2 ton of Satisfaction ordered today: will do the same next week.. Too busy, and too cold to be messing around w/ pellets (& fuel) right now.. Gotta get some bags back on the stack. I may have to stop @ HD for some FSUs, and TSC for some MWP though.. Just in case.
I still think it'd be pretty sweet to have a centralized at-a-glance list that ranked pellets by a heat/ash ratio. Price would be cool but that likely would be a huge challenge based on where you live. But having at least a btu/ash ratio and brand name in a single list would be very informative.
Part of the problem is what burns great for one person or stove doesn't for the next person. Then you have batch variance which is a whole other thing! lol Who knew Harman's couldn't burn Doug Fir's
It's a running joke. A tech acknowledged some issues with some Harman stoves having mechanical issues. I believe him. But that's all I have ever burned because I live in DF land. Why burn anything else??
Rob , if you come back as a DF tree , I will bring you to a tropical paradise and you will grow . Remember I'm a Horticulturist
Haha!!! Nice! I was just there today! Thanks for the info!! In addition to what you listed, they also had some Power Pellet outside in the garden supply area. Also, the Cheat River has a 12/15 date code (so they're over two years old at this point), and the UPC is 851050003004. (I only wrote down the UPC because I hadn't seen that brand at Lowes before and was going to look them up.) The Power Pellet was date code 2/17.
And then I went from Lowes to TSC Q-town. They had bags of both the 749394107802 (which is probably NEWP) and the 711039328002 Dry Creek. So slvrblkk, if you're looking for something better than what you found at MacArthur, you might want to grab a pallet of the CE Hamers at the Q-town Lowes?
If I remember correctly some of those date codes , may refer to when the bag was made / printed not when they were bagged . Someone else can clarify this .
So I just found out a place down the road is selling Purcells for $216 a ton. I hear/read they burn hot for DFs but that they burn dirty and require more cleaning/maintenance. Thoughts?
